After a long stint in Brooklyn, my husband and I relocated to Boston in 2010 before moving further north to Portsmouth, NH in fall 2014. Merwin joined us in 2010 and left all too soon in June 2018 after a battle with lymphoma. We jumped back into the world of dog ownership by adopting Ollie in August 2018.
I'm a nonprofit consultant, recently partnering with two other local women to launch Brightspot Consultants. Prior to putting on my consulting hat, I worked in development for a library, modern dance company, ballet organization, and veterinary hospital where my love for four-legged friends blossomed.
The roots of my obsession with W.S. Merwin's poetry go back a bit further to my studies in Creative Writing at Hamilton College, where I was first introduced to his work with The Rain in the Trees. Simon's mom shared Mary Oliver's work with me a few years ago, and her poems quickly made their way to my list of favorites.
